Bay Port Clubs and Activities

At Bay Port High School, we believe that learning extends far beyond the classroom walls. Our diverse array of clubs and organizations offers something for everyone, providing an environment for students to explore their passions, develop new skills, and build lasting connections and memories.

Below you can find all of the clubs we have here at Bay Port, and we hope you can find something that sparks your interest! For any questions regarding a certain club, please contact the advisor at their provided email.

Archery Club

The Bay Port Archery Club provides students with opportunities to develop their archery skills in a safe, fun, and supportive environment. Members will have opportunities to participate in 3D shoots at Golden Arrow Archery Club and Oconto River Bowmen throughout the year. Students may also compete in National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) tournaments during the competitive season from November through March. The club welcomes archers of all experience levels who are interested in recreational shooting, competition, and improving their skills.

Bay Port DECA gives students the opportunity to explore careers in marketing, business, finance, hospitality, and entrepreneurship. Members develop leadership, communication, and professional skills through competitions, conferences, community service, and hands-on activities. DECA encourages students to challenge themselves, build confidence, and connect classroom learning to real-world business experiences. Whether competing at the state and international levels or participating in local events, Bay Port DECA helps students prepare for success in college, careers, and beyond.

Easting Disorder Support & Awareness (EDSA)

EDSA is a student lead club dedicated to reducing the stigmas around eating disorders and aims at providing a safe place for those in the community. Students are given opportunities to make a difference within their community through their work as an EDSA member, including volunteering, dress up days, making cards, gift bags, etc.

E-Sports

E-sports is more than just video games played at an all-new competitive level. At Bay Port, we give our students the best opportunity to find their own passion, whether it’s media production, coaching others, or just gaming. We value the skills students bring to the table besides their gaming experience and aim to hone them even further. All people are welcome to inquire with Mr. Stenerson for competitive, casual, or other opportunities.

Fall Play

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)

FFA

Participate individually or as a team in over 100 events and activities related to community service, leadership, and hands on experiences that will enhance college and career readiness in areas of biotechnology, international marketing, genetics, engineering, food science, horticulture, communications, finance, veterinary science, wildlife management, and much more! Attend workshops, contests, seminars, and conventions held locally and nationally. Prepare for competitions that result in financial scholarships and awards. Make new friends during activities and field trips.

First Nations Group

This is a student organization dedicated to celebrating and educating others about First Nations culture, history, and issues. It provides space for Indigenous students to connect with their heritage and raise awareness within the school community about the experiences and perspectives of First Nations people.

Work with others in this youth-led group of Gender-Sexuality Alliance (previously known as Gay-Straight Alliance) to promote inclusivity, safety, and health in topics relating to sexual orientation and gender identity. Support one another, learn about, and promote, empower, educate, advocate, and protect LGBTQ+ youth from harassment, violence, and broader issues of oppression. Everyone open to the acceptance of everyone who wants to be an ally is welcome.

Mock Trial

Use facts and case materials developed by Wisconsin attorneys to gain an understanding of the court system, develop arguments, and build role-play cases as prosecutors, defendants and witnesses. Meetings begin in October with auditions for roles in November. Local, regional, and state competitions are throughout the year.

National Honor Society (NHS)

One Act Play

Participate in an exciting and competitive theatrical one-act format which includes challenges in all areas of script editing, acting, stage, technical, and direction. When the actors conclude the performance, cast and crew disassemble and completely clear the stage all within the 40-minute requirement. This theatrical club competes at district, sectional, and state events.

Performing Arts Center (PAC) Tech & Stage Crew

Pirate Treasures

This is a club designed to bring together trading card enthusiasts of any sport/genre who want to talk, trade, and buy cards every other week at the high school. Grades 9-12 are welcome to attend and bring your own cards to showcase. No commitment to the club is needed and you are free to engage as much or as little as you like. Our various activities will include box breaks, create packs for donation, trades, and giveaways (pack of the month/guess the card number).

Portside Newspaper

After successful completion of Journalism 1 or with adviser permission, enroll in Journalism Newspaper to write, edit, and take photos to publish the school newspaper. Get behind the scenes of athletic, artistic, academic, and social events, while building critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills. Volunteer contributors are always welcome!

Robotics Competition Club

Show Choir

Pandemonious is a competitive Show Choir that combines choral singing with choreographed dance and accompanied by a combo band made up of student musicians. Prepare and perform a setlist of musical theater and pop music, often with an overarching theme. Auditions are held in May of the prior school year, and a required day camp is held in August.

Provide the highest quality evidence-based prevention for suicide, violence, bullying, and substance abuse by training, supporting, and empowering both peer leaders and caring adults to impact their world through the power of connection, hope, help, and strength. Many strengths are more powerful than one, and our united goal is to activate and mobilize these strengths in ways that positively change individuals and communities.

Spring Musical

A Broadway style performance that includes acting, singing and dancing. The season lasts from January (auditions are held right after winter break) until early May (performances are typically the last weekend of April and the first weekend of May). Participating in Spring Musical does not coincide with winter/spring sports. Participants can be members of cast, crew, costumes, or pit band.

Student Athlete Leadership Team (SALT)

The Bay Port Student Athlete Leadership Team will be a group of student athletic participants that will participate in leadership meetings, participate in SALT-related community service, and serve as a resource and role model for younger student athletes. The purpose of this group is as follows:

To learn about and apply positive leadership skills.
To provide support and teach you different ways to communicate and lead in the activities you participate in.
To learn about different challenges you might face as a leader and how you would respond to the different challenges.

Student Council

Collaborate to positively impact school culture, climate, and community through a variety of school-wide activities such as Homecoming, Blood Drives, Halloween-Fest, Snoball, and a Veteran’s Dinner. Participate in service opportunities and state-level events. Learn about the election process in spring (grades 10-12) and fall (grade 9).

Trap Club

The mission of the Bay Port High School Trap Club is to provide students with a safe and supportive environment to develop shooting skills, practice sportsmanship, and build teamwork, responsibility, and confidence through the sport of trap shooting. The Bay Port Sportsman Club plans to participate in a spring trap shooting league at Brown County Sportsman Club and compete against other local high school teams. Our goals for this year are to introduce students to the sport, promote firearm safety and sportsmanship, build teamwork, and establish a strong foundation for future growth of the club and team.
