Dual Credit
Dual credit courses are a great way for Bay Port students to earn college credits while in high school! Students can choose between four-year and two-year colleges, and have options to take courses taught by Bay Port teachers on campus, or go to the college and take classes there.
The benefits of taking advantage of dual credit options include:
- Save money on tuition
- Courses at UW-Green Bay and Bellin College are reduced cost, and most courses at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College and Fox Valley Technical College are free
- Save time
- Taking college courses in high school can open up your schedule once you leave Bay Port; giving you more opportunities to take upper level classes earlier
- More flexibility in college for additional coursework, study abroad, or earlier graduation opportunities
- Experience college rigor with the support of high school teachers
Here is an overview of what dual credit is, types of dual credit programs, and options for Bay Port students.
