Class of 2026 Commencement
Commencement is on Sunday, June 7 at 2 p.m. The plan is for the ceremony to take place outside in our stadium. The gates to the stadium will open at 1 p.m. Everyone will need a ticket to enter the stadium.
Commencement Rehearsal
All seniors must attend commencement rehearsal on June 4 at 11 a.m. Seniors should meet in the gym. This rehearsal will take approximately one hour. Seniors will receive their tickets at this rehearsal.
If seniors will be absent for a school-related event or have already started college classes, please contact Carrie Yanda to be excused.
Weather Backup Plan
If the weather is not suitable for outdoor commencement, the ceremony will be moved to the Bay Port gymnasium. The indoor ceremony would also be held at 2 p.m. with doors opening at 1 p.m. If the ceremony will be moved inside, this will be communicated via email and on this website prior to 9 a.m. on June 7.
Ticket Details
If the weather cooperates and we are able to host the event outside, each graduate can use all 8 tickets. Each student will receive 4 blue tickets and 4 white tickets. If you requested additional tickets following the April 29 email, those extra tickets will be given at the June 4 rehearsal.
- If the ceremony is held outdoors, guests may enter using both blue and white tickets.
- If the ceremony is held indoors, guests may enter using the white tickets only. This is due to limited capacity in the gymnasium.
If extra tickets were requested before May 22, students can pick up the extra tickets beginning Tuesday, May 26 in the Bay Port rotunda from 7 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Parking

- The Athletics lot behind the school and next to the stadium is reserved for accessible parking.
- If the event is outside, please do NOT park in the bus corral, and Pirate’s Cove Drive will be closed.
- If the event is inside, you may park in the bus corral.
Photography
Click here to order photos from Harmann. Each graduate will have their individual photo taken. Parents/guardians can decide after the event if they’d like to order photos. If you have questions, please contact customercare@harmann.com or 1-800-236-8910.
Diplomas
Seniors will pick up their diplomas at the end of the commencement ceremony at the concession stand (if the event is outside) or in the commons (if the event is inside). All diplomas that are not picked up will be mailed home following the ceremony.
Other Important Information
- Attire: if commencement is outside, only flat soled shoes will be allowed (feel free to wear tennis shoes). A high heel shoe will damage the turf and make it difficult for the graduates to walk.
- Livestream Link: the event will be live streamed on the Howard-Suamico School District YouTube account.
- PAC Seating: Whether the event is held outdoors or indoors, seating will be available in the Bay Port Performing Arts Center (PAC) where guests can watch the live stream on the big screen.
- Carry-Ins: please do NOT bring pets or lawn chairs to put on turf.
- Concessions: limited concessions and water will be available for purchase at the concession stand.
